- Entries will only be accepted on an official entry form, which must be received by any one of the persons named thereon not later than Friday 25 August 2023. The entry fees must be paid at the time of making the entries.
- Entry Fees shall be 30p per exhibit. There is no entry fee payable for the Children’s Section entries.
- NB. Early set-up hour allowed for exhibits on Sunday 27 Aug between 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm prompt.
Items left at owners’ risk, but the room will be locked at 5.00 pm and will be reopened at 7.30 am when the main staging of exhibits may commence.
All exhibits must be at the show site by 8.30 am and the hall area must be cleared at 9.15 am prompt ready for judging.
- Cups will be presented at 3.30 pm. Winners of all Challenge Cups will receive trophies, miniatures or certificates. Challenge Cups must be returned to the Trophy Steward by 1st August in the year following the show.
- After Judging has taken place, no exhibit or part of an exhibit may be altered or removed until after Prizegiving, except by special permission of a member of the Show Committee. Time will be given before the Auction starts.
- Prize Money will be paid at 3.45 pm on the day of the show. Prize money remaining unclaimed after 14 days will be returned to the funds of the Society.
- Exhibits in Sections 1, 2 and 3 must have been grown by the exhibitor. Exhibits in other sections must be the work of the exhibitor, but the flowers in the Floral Arrangement classes need not have been grown by the exhibitor.
- The Show Committee reserves the right to visit by agreement before or after the Show, the garden, allotment, or glasshouse of any exhibitor.
- In Sections 1, 2 and 3 two or more persons may not exhibit separately in the same class from the same garden.
- No exhibitor may make more than one entry in any one class.
- The Show Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry, and in the event of such a refusal, it is not required to give any reason or explanation.
- Exhibitors are requested to name their exhibits. In the event of close competition, a named exhibit will be preferred to an unnamed or incorrectly named exhibit.
- Prize Money may be withheld or modified if the exhibits are considered unworthy of the prize offered.
- On the relative merits of the exhibits the decision of the Judges shall be final, but the Show Committee reserves to itself the decision on any other points in dispute.
- All exhibits, personal property, etc. shall be at the risk of the exhibitors and the Society shall not be liable for compensation for loss or damage from any cause whatsoever.
- Exhibitors must provide their own vases or other display items specified in the class description. Responsibility for collection of items remains with the exhibitor.
