The 2025 Brightlingsea Summer Show Companion Dog Show will be held outside the Brightlingsea Community Centre on Bank Holiday Monday (25 August 2025)
All entries should be on the field from 12 noon with judging starting at 12.30 pm
Entry Fee: £2 per class, per dog.

Pedigree Classes
Class 1 A.V. Puppy (6 months to 1 year)
Class 2 A.V. Sporting (Hound, Gundog, Terrier)
Class 3 A.V. Non-Sporting (Toy, Utility, Working, Pastoral)
Class 4 A.V. Open (All Pedigree)
Novelty Classes
Class 5 A.V. Rescue, or re-homed dog
Class 6 A.V. Veteran (over 7 years)
Class 7 A.V. Non-Pedigree
Class 8 Junior Handling (6 to 15 years)
Class 9 Any dog under 381 mm (15”)
Class 10 Any dog over 381 mm (15”)
Class 11 Dog with the Waggiest Tail
Class 12 The dog the judge would like to take home (only one winner here!)
Class 13 Local Stakes (dogs living within 3 miles of Brightlingsea)
Class 14 Visitor Stakes (dogs living beyond 3 miles of Brightlingsea)
Cups And Trophies
All First Prize winners to compete for Best in Show
All Cups and Prizes to be presented after Class 14.
Cups for Best Puppy, Best Hound, and the Tealby Shield for Best in Show donated by Mr T Ellis
All Cups & Trophies are perpetual awards & must be returned by July 2025

Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
The organisers cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage within the precincts of the Show, organised as part of the Brightlingsea & District Horticultural Society Summer Show.
